Britt was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at age 20 and has lived with chronic pain and anemia for a decade. In 2012, her health snowballed and a massive flare up in her colon ensued. For months she tried all types of Western medicine, but nothing worked. Britt discovered hypnotherapy soon after and used Reiki to get better. Today, she still has her colon, and wholeheartedly believes in the power of Reiki and hypnotherapy. She believes in it so much that she changed her career. Britt is a certified life coach by the Life Coach Institute of Orange County. She is also a certified Reiki II practitioner under Usui Reiki Master Teacher and Spiritual Psychic Medium Yoshie Miakoda Chihara. In February 2016 she co-authored the book Shift On where she shares intimate details and the struggles she faced during this time.
